Built from the roots
Not black boxes configured by a consultant. Each blueprint is an ordinary Novi model: the structure is visible, and the lineage reads at a glance.
Working models, a shared vocabulary, and data connections, ready on day one. Every asset in the Commons is built by Novi from the same three blocks you build with: dictionaries, tables, and links. Open them. Read them. Change them. They are yours.
What's inside
The industry has normalised three-to-six-month implementations. The Commons is how a serious model starts the week you sign, not the quarter after.
Not black boxes configured by a consultant. Each blueprint is an ordinary Novi model: the structure is visible, and the lineage reads at a glance.
Sound structure is inherited rather than invented: fewer mistakes to make, and easier ones to catch when you do.
Open a blueprint, point it at your data, and a serious model is running, the week you sign, not the quarter after.
Models for the planning problems most finance teams share, and for the industries Novi is built for. Each one is a real Novi model. Start from it rather than a blank canvas. Anything not yet ready is marked.
Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow linked end to end, ready to extend. The canvas a Novi model usually grows out from.
Hiring planned by role, team and start date: fully-loaded cost, ramp and attrition flowing straight into the P&L.
A direct weekly cash forecast: receipts, disbursements and rolling liquidity, reconciled back to the plan.
An ARR bridge by cohort (new, expansion, contraction and churn) driving billings and deferred revenue.
Revenue from the drivers that move it: volume × price by product and channel, straight into the plan. The counterpart to ARR for businesses that aren't subscription.
Bill of materials to unit cost to gross margin: standard costs, variances and volumes carried through to the statements.
Billable hours, rates and utilization by team and project: revenue and project margin, with the bench in view. For services firms run across several entities.
A three-to-five-year view built on the same drivers as the budget, not a spreadsheet living off to the side.
Dashboards and Stories that turn the model into a board read, narrated by CLARA. Limited next to a full BI suite, enough for the pack.
Volume and price by product and channel, feeding both revenue and supply. Sample data included so it runs on open.
A standing monthly reforecast: actuals in, forecast updated, variance explained. The rhythm of the month, not a rebuild.
Projects and initiatives with phasing, depreciation and the cash they consume: capital planning that ties back to the statements.
Free cash flow, discounting and terminal value: a valuation that reads end to end, with the logic on the surface.
Multi-entity roll-up with intercompany eliminations and currency translation, built on dictionaries and D-Tables, no ledger required. Management consolidation, not statutory close.
Acquisition modelling: purchase price, accretion and dilution, synergies and financing. Delivered first as the fixed-scope M&A Burst.
Coming soonDictionaries are one of Novi's three blocks: they encode the vocabulary a model reasons in. The Commons ships reference dictionaries: standard ground you can attach to any model without building it from scratch.
These are reference vocabulary, not your business. The dimensions specific to your organisation (your entities, cost centres, products) live in your own model, where they belong. The Commons gives you the shared, standard ground to build on.
Novi connects to your data without asking you to maintain dozens of brittle integrations: cover most teams with files and warehouses, add reference data, then build native integrations one at a time.
Working draft · catalogue not yet finalCSV works well, and Excel is close behind. Pre-mapped templates accept the exports finance teams already produce.
Direct connections to the warehouse a mid-market data team already runs. The backend makes this a short path, not a project.
The macro series most plans assume, kept current, starting with FX, with inflation and rates alongside.
Import templates mapped to the common systems first. Broader coverage through a unified API, with native connectors built deliberately over time.
Three layers, in the order worth building them. First, pre-mapped import templates for trial balance, general ledger and DATEV: most mid-market teams, almost no engineering. Second, warehouse connections, which the backend makes inexpensive. Third, a unified accounting API to reach NetSuite, QuickBooks, Dynamics and others through a single integration rather than thirty brittle ones. Native, per-system connectors come last, each built only when it earns its place.
Naming this plainly is part of how Novi works. The Commons grows in sequence, and each addition ships only when it meets the same bar as everything already in it.
Every plan opens the whole Commons. Blueprints, Connectors and Templates, all the Common Assets, come with every plan; there is no per-tier limit on how many you use. What varies is how an asset is priced, not which plan you are on.
Included with every plan, at no extra cost.
A single published price, the same whichever plan you are on.
When we build an asset for your business, it is quoted per engagement.
The Commons opens with the platform on September 1, 2026. Early-adopter seats are open now. Tell us about your team and we'll get you in.
