Privacy

What this website collects, and what it doesn't.

Plain language · No dark patterns · As little as possible

We'd rather tell you exactly what we collect than bury it in ten pages of legalese.

This policy covers novi.fm, the website you're reading. It's a small site and the list is short: a form if you ask for early access, privacy-friendly analytics that use no cookies, and (only with your consent) Google Analytics and Google Ads. You're in control: nothing that uses cookies runs until you accept, and you can change your mind any time from Cookie settings in the footer. The Novi product has its own, separate terms; for how we protect data inside the platform, see Security. Last updated 4 June 2026.

01· Who's responsible
The basics

Who's responsible for your data.

The website novi.fm is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Novi", "we", "us"), registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [COUNTRY]. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. For anything here, including any request about your data, email hello@novi.fm and a person will answer.

One inbox, one human. Email us and someone reads it.

02· What we collect & why
The short list

Five things, and the reason for each.

Here is everything the website collects, what we use it for, and the legal basis under the GDPR. If something isn't on this list, we don't collect it.

Early-access & newsletter signups

If you enter your email to request early access or updates, we pass it to Brevo (our email provider) and use it only to contact you about Novi. We don't sell it or use it for anything else, and every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe.

Data: email address Basis: your consent Processor: Brevo

Privacy-friendly analytics

We use Plausible to understand which pages people read, in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and never identifies you. It counts visits using an identifier that rotates daily and can't be traced back to a person. Because of that, it runs for everyone without asking.

Data: page views, referrer, country, device type (aggregate) Basis: legitimate interest Processor: Plausible

Google Analytics & Ads Only if you allow it

With your consent, we use Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure how the site is used and how our advertising performs, including remarketing. These set cookies and are governed by Google Consent Mode: they stay off until you accept, and you can withdraw at any time from Cookie settings.

Data: cookie IDs, IP address, pages & events, ad interactions Basis: your consent Processor: Google (Analytics & Ads)

Your theme preference Stays on your device

When you switch between light and dark mode, we remember it in your browser's local storage so the site looks the way you left it. It never leaves your device, it isn't a cookie, and it's necessary for the feature you chose, so there's nothing to consent to.

Data: your light/dark choice Basis: necessary for the feature Stored: on your device only

Hosting & security logs

Our host, Microsoft Azure, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for short periods to keep the site available and to investigate problems or abuse. We don't use these to build a profile of you.

Data: IP address, request metadata Basis: legitimate interest (security) Processor: Microsoft Azure
03· Cookies & your choices
Cookies

The cookies we set, and the ones we don't.

We set cookies only for Google Analytics and Google Ads, and only after you accept. Everything else either stores nothing or stays on your device. Here's the complete list.

Name Set by Purpose Type Lasts Consent
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors to produce aggregate usage statistics. Analytics 2 years Opt-in required
_ga_<id> Google Analytics Keeps GA4 session state. Analytics 2 years Opt-in required
_gcl_au Google Ads Measures ad clicks and conversions; supports remarketing. Advertising 90 days Opt-in required
none Plausible Aggregate page statistics. Cookieless: stores nothing on your device. Analytics Not needed
novi-theme Novi Remembers your light/dark choice. Local storage, not a cookie. Functional Until you clear it Not needed
novi-consent Novi Remembers your cookie choices so we don't ask again. Strictly necessary ~6 months Not needed

Your choices. Google's cookies are off until you accept. Use the cookie banner (or Cookie settings in the footer) to accept all, reject all, or toggle Analytics and Advertising separately, and to change your mind at any time. Rejecting leaves the whole site working; Plausible and your theme preference need no consent, so they're unaffected either way.

We use Google Consent Mode, so Google's tags load in a no-cookie state by default and only set the cookies above once you've accepted. Your choice is remembered in novi-consent on your device.

04· Who we share it with
Sub-processors

The handful of companies that help us run this.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for anyone else's advertising. We do rely on a few trusted providers to operate the site. Each only processes what it needs to do its job.

Provider What they do Where data is processed
Brevo (Sendinblue) Stores signup emails and delivers our updates. European Union (France)
Plausible Analytics Cookieless, aggregate traffic statistics. European Union
Google (Analytics & Ads) Website analytics, ad measurement and remarketing, only with your consent. Global (United States)
Microsoft Azure Hosts the website and keeps short-lived security logs. European Union [confirm region]
Google (Fonts) Serves the site's web fonts; receives your IP when fonts load. Global (United States)

Most of our providers store data in the EU. Where a provider may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example Google's analytics, ads and fonts) that transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

05· Your rights & retention
Your rights

Your data, your call.

Under the GDPR you can, at any time:

  • See what we hold about you, and get a copy.
  • Correct anything that's wrong, or delete it.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it.
  • Take it elsewhere: receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent you've given, without affecting anything before.

To exercise any of these, email hello@novi.fm. We respond within 30 days, and it's free.

We keep signup emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics is aggregate and not tied to you; logs and visitor data are kept only as long as the purpose above requires.

If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In [COUNTRY], that's the [SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY]. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

06· Changes & contact
Housekeeping

When this changes, we'll say so.

If we add or remove a tool, or change how we use your data, we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date at the top. Changes to anything that needs your consent won't apply to data we already hold without asking you again. This policy was last updated on 4 June 2026.

Privacy shouldn't take a lawyer to read.

Got a question about your data?

Email us and a person, not a ticketing bot, will answer. Ask us anything about what we collect, or how to delete it.
